International Summer Courses - Printmaking and Textile Art - PATA 2015
This year for the third time the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź in cooperation with KAUS Urbino and with the patronage of City Art Gallery in Łódź, will organize International Summer Courses - Printmaking and Textile Art (PATA). The previous editions attracted to Lodz artists from 19 countries such as Italy, Canada, USA, China and South Africa and were greatly appreciated by the participants. In 2015 as many as 10 courses will be held in two sessions in July and August 2015. Apart from printmaking and textile art courses which already gained their international prestige, two interdisciplinary courses of composition in time and space and of handmade paper will complement the educational offer.
The first session will take place from July 23 till August 6, 2015 and it will include the course of Experimental Textile Art run by invited world famous artist - Prof. Michael Brennand-Wood from Wolverhampton University in Great Britain entitled Random Precision - 3 Dimensional Line, Stitch, Structure and Light and the course of Hand Made Paper entitled Water and Fire conducted by Prof. Ewa Latkowska-Żychska, excellent teacher of our Academy.
In the second session held between August 10 - 22, 2015, prof. Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak - winner of several medals at the Triennial of Tapestry and currently the rector of the Academy will conduct a course entitled: STRUCTURE – MODULE – MULTIPLICATION. Textile Art and Experimental Object and another great teacher of the Academy - Prof. Krystyna Czajkowska will run the course of Textile Print.
