International Summer Courses - Printmaking and Textile Art PATA 2016
For the fourth time the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź in cooperation with KAUS Urbino would like to cordially invite artists and art enthusiasts to participate in the International Summer Courses Printmaking and Textile Art PATA 2016. Once again the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź is the honorary patron of this event. Three previous editions brought to Łódź artists from over 30 countries and the event met with great appreciation of its participants. This year’s programme includes ten courses divided into two sessions.
Between July 18th and 30th, 2016 course participants will have an opportunity to gain experience in the field of relief print, intaglio print and screen-printing on Prof. Sławomir Ćwiek’s course, unique woven object on Prof. Włodzimierz Cygan’s course, and calligraphy and typography on Prof. Łukasz Chmielewski’s course. This year’s edition for the first time includes workshops in comics and game and film pre-production (elements of CONCEPT ART) run by Prof. Gabriel Kołat and interdisciplinary course Intersection Point which combines textile art and printmaking and which will be run by Prof. Alicia Candini, President of Fundacion Para El Arte Contemporaneo from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
From August 3rd to 17th 2016 course participants will learn the secrets of relief print, intaglio print and lithography with Prof. Krzysztof Wawrzyniak, textile print on Prof. Krystyna Czajkowska’s course, graphic design with Prof. Sławomir Kosmynka’s course, textile art and experimental object under the guidance of Prof. Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak and interactive installations during classes held by Prof. Danuta Wieczorek.
At the end of each course/ participants receive a certificate confirming acquired knowledge and skills along with a number of ECTS points, which reflects the actual working time. Each single course comprises 90 didactic hours (3 ECTS points).
