130 artists from 51 countries are taking part in the 13th International Triennial of Tapestry. Artists represent the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria. Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Georgia, Spain, India, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Russia, Republic of South Africa, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, USA. Hungary, Great Britain and Italy.
On May 8-9 the meeting of the international jury panel was taking place: Włodzimierz Cygan (Poland) – Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Łódź, Kyoko Kumai (Japan) – Professor of the Nagaoka Institute of Art Design, Androna Linartas (Mexico) – President of the Mexican Association of Artists Weavers, Velta Raudzepa (Latvia) – Deputy Director of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Riga, Lauren Whitley (USA) – curator of the Department of Textile Art and Fashion at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Norbert Zawisza (Poland) – Director of the Central Museum of Textiles. Mr Marcin Oko was the secretary to the jury.
The international jury has awarded 1 Gold medal (Grand Prix), 2 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals, honorary mentions and Prize of Akapi Foundation (the Best first appearance). Medal of the Central Museum of Textiles has been awarded by curators of the museum.

The Minutes of the Jury Sessions of the 13th International Triennial of Tapestry, Łódź 2010 May 8-9th 2010.
On May 8th 2010 the Jury of the 13th International Triennial of Tapestry Łódź 2010 has appointed Mr Norbert Zawisza to act as its Chairperson. Mr Norbert Zawisza is Director of the Central Museum of Textiles, Chairman of the Programming Board of the International Triennial of Tapestry.

The Prize of the AKAPI Foundation for the best debut at 13thInternational Triennial of Tapestry in Łódź was awarded to:
Mr Paweł Kiełpiński (Poland) for the work ”Without title”.
As a result of many reviews and discussions the Jury decided to award the following in recognition of the outstanding artistic value:
Bronze medals:
to Mr Peter Horn (Germany) for the work ”Orion Nebula”
to Ms Dzintra Vilks (Latvia) for the work ”Meeting of World torn winds”
to Mr Konrad Zych (Poland) for the work ”Pervasion”
Silver medals:
to Ms Kari Dyrdal (Norway) for the work ”The Jacquaards story – lingo”
to Ms Izabela Wyrwa (Poland) for the work ”Something in the air”
Gold medal:
to Ms Anne-Gry Løland (Norway) for the work ”Monuments”
The Jury stated that the following submitted works do not conform with the regulations of the triennial and they were excluded from the competition:

„Road” Ms Adelia Szwaja (Poland)
„The backside” Ms Kristveig Halldórsdóttir (Iceland)
Furthermore, the Jury highly commended Professor Michał Gałkiewicz for the excellence of the exhibition design and Mr Mirosław Owczarek, graphic designer, for the masterful artistic quality of the poster and prints accompanying the 13th International Triennial of Tapestry.
Medal of the Central Museum of Textiles was awarded to Mr Zygmunt Łukasiewicz (Poland).
Prize of the Polish Artists' Union ”Polish Applied Arts”
On May 9th 2010 the jury represented by Lidia Choczaj, Bogdan Skopiński and Marek Wagner
on viewing the works presented at the 13th International Triennial of Tapestry Łódź 2010 awarded prize of the Polish Artists' Union ”Polish Applied Arts”" to Ms Lia Altman (Russia) for the work ”Clear sky”.
