During the meeting of the Programming Board on 10.12.2012 the list of events associated with the 14th International Triennial of Tapestry, Łódź 2013 was settled (calendar of associated events). The National Exhibition of the Polish Tapestry (this year we will have its 12th edition) as well as the 10th National Exhibition of the Polish Miniature Textiles, which celebrates its small anniversary are associated with the International Triennial of Tapestry, as it used to be before. The sole organizer of these two exhibitions is the Central Museum of Textiles. Towards the end of last year, the Programming Board appointed two separate selection jury panels for these two shows. In January 2013 participants of these exhibitions were named. 76 artists will partake in the National Exhibition of the Polish Tapestry and 108 artists – in the National Exhibition of the Polish Miniature Textiles.
The Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and the Central Museum of Textiles initiated together the international exhibition called Young Textile Art Triennial. In our daily work we call it „young textile triennial” and it is open to students and graduates who accomplished their studies at art academies in the year 2012 in the following countries: Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, USA, Hungary, Great Britain. The exhibition will include works representing fibre art, widely understood. The items will be judged by a separate jury panel appointed by the Programming Board.
